CHENNAI: The 47th All-India YSCA Trophy will start on May 1. The tournament is open to all clubs affiliated to TNCA, business houses, banks, financial institutions, companies, educational institutions and clubs from all over the country. Shriram Bags Eight

C Shriram’s eight for 40 helped Varsity Occasionals beat Globe Cricket Club in a Fifth Division C Zone TNCA League match.

Brief scores: Vepery CC 255 in 44.2 ovs bt Eccentrics CC 209 in 35.3 ovs. Jai Hind CC 210 in 46.1 ovs lost to Perungalathur CC 213/6 in 46.2 ovs. Young Men’s CC 307 in 50 ovs bt Ranji CC 223 in 49.3 ovs. Globe CC 175 in 31.4 ovs lost to Varsity Occasionals 176/8 in 48.2 ovs. Youngsters CC 142 in 44.1 ovs bt Grove CC 126 in 37.1 ovs. Vijay’s Recreation Club 178/9 in 50 ovs bt National Recreation Club 152 in 41 ovs.

Health Run

Close to 250 employees and family members participated in the Dalmia Fitness Run/Walkathon, held on Saturday. The objective was to promote healthy lifestyle with focus on benefits of engaging in physical activities every day.
