CHENNAI: Robin Bist’s 59-ball 102 (16x4, 1x6) helped Jolly Rovers beat Nelson by 62 runs on the first day of the Take Solutions Ashok Kumbhat T-20 Trophy at IIT-Chemplast grounds. Bist added 73 off 44 with R Sathish for the third wicket and 72 off 34 with Jayant Yadav for the fourth. Earlier, J Syed Mohammed shone with the ball, claiming three wickets for 12 runs.

In another match at SSN College, Youngstars rode on L Ganesh’s last-ball six off J Koushik to pull off a two-wicket win over Grand Slam. Young Stars needed 17 runs in the last over. Ganesh Satish scored 12 of them before getting out on the fifth ball.
