Hooda helps IOC bag YSCA Trophy

Deepak Hooda’s 70 paved the way for IOC (Mumbai) to beat SBM (Bengaluru) by five wickets in the final of the 47th Lava All-India YSCA Trophy.

CHENNAI: Deepak Hooda’s 70 paved the way for IOC (Mumbai) to beat SBM (Bengaluru) by five wickets in the final of the 47th Lava All-India YSCA Trophy.

Put into bat, SBM was in a spot of bother, having lost four wickets with just 10 runs on the board. But a 74-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Kranti Kumar and Anirudh Joshi helped SBM post a modest total.

Brief scores (final): SBM (Bengaluru) 203/8 in 30 ovs (Anirudh Joshi 95) lost to IOC (Mumbai) 204/5 in 28.2 ovs (Arman Jaffer 44, Deepak Hooda 70).

Mohan shines

Hooda.jpgMohan Raj’s 3/20 helped ICF beat RBI in the Venkateswara Cup, organised by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA).

Accenture in final

Ronald Rixon’s 4/35 was instrumental in Accenture’s 37-run victory against defending champion RR Donnelley in the GK Kuppuswamy Memorial tournament. With this win, Accenture entered the final.

Mani scalps six

S Manikandan’s 6/19 was the highlight of Dindigul’s 134-run win over Thoothukudi in the TNCA inter-district T20 tournament for the SS Rajan Trophy.
