Hyderabad star Hanuma Vihari to represent Crombest in TNCA league

Hyderabad star Hanuma Vihari will represent Crombest in the TNCA Senior Division League. Crombest and TSC have been promoted to first division. “We’ve signed up Vihari. Ankur Julka, who scored over 800 runs last year, has been retained. Ganesh Sathish and Srikar Bharat will continue with Youngstars,” said R Rangarajan, of AGS Group that owns the teams.

Kaushik shines in IT win

J Kaushik’s 3/12 helped Income Tax defeat ICF in the Venkateswara Cup on Tuesday.

Naveen stars in Vellore win

J Naveen’s all-round display helped Vellore beat Thanjavur in the TNCA inter-districts U-16 tournament. Batting first, Naveen hit an unbeaten century to help Vellore post 251/5 in 50 overs. In  reply, Thanjavur were bundled out for 101 in 39 overs with Naveen, this time, stealing the limelight with the ball.

Vijaya Darshan of SMTTA defeated K Karthikeyan of KTTC 11-9,11-9,7-11,11-9 in the sub-junior boys final of the YMCA-Madras district table tennis tournament.

In the cadet decider, S Manikandan of YMCA Kodambakkam outplayed Kavin Mohan of Leo 11-9, 11-9, 12-10.
