India beat Australia by eight wickets in fourth test, reclaim Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Dharamsala: KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane completed the formalities on Tuesday as India reclaimed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with an eight-wicket win over Australia. This is India's fourth straight series win at home this season which began with the 3-0 whitewash of New Zealand. They also defeated England 4-0 and Bangladesh 1-0 and now hold series wins over all the Test playing nations.

Needing only 87 to win on Day Four, India lost the wickets of Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara, but Rahul and Rahane ensured there was no late twist to the tale as they pocketed the series 2-1. India had lost the first Test in Pune. and came back strongly to win in Bengaluru and the third Test in Ranchi ended in a draw.
