Marcel Koller to quit Austria after World Cup flop

Marcel Koller will stand down as coach of Austria at the end of 2017 after failing to qualify for the World Cup.

VIENNA: Marcel Koller will stand down as coach of Austria at the end of 2017 after failing to qualify for the World Cup, ending his six-year spell in charge.

Switzerland's Koller, 56, will stay in charge until the conclusion of the qualifying campaign.

Austria are currently fourth in Group D, nine points behind leaders Serbia.
