CHENNAI:  An unbeaten 101 by JS Athish helped Gen-Next Cricket Academy thrash St Antony  CA in the semifinals of the Harrington CA U-14 tournament. Semifinals: Gen-Next CA 258/4 in 30 ovs (JS Athish 101 n.o, Vikram 56) bt St Antony CA 78 in 23.4 ovs (Aswath 5/10). Reddy CA 236/6 in 30 ovs (T Adithya 134, J Ashief 43) bt Fine Star CA 64 in 19.3 ovs (Niranjan 4/22, DK Lokesh 3/9).

DSS, SPIC promoted

DSS Club beat SPIC Recreation Club in the TNCA Third Division championship match. Both teams were promoted to Second Division. Perambur Club, Mambalam Mosquitos, Gems Cricket Club, Krishnaraj Memorial Club were relegated.

Brief scores: Spic RC 239 in 50 ovs (M Manokaran 51, S Thilak 3/45) lost to DSS Club 240/3 in 43.2 ovs (J Suresh Kumar 103 n.o, B Sumanth 92 n.o).

KSEB beat SRM University

KSEB Trivandrum beat SRM University 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-18 in the Sri Ramasamy Memorial volleyball tournament, organised by Aqua Pump Sports Club.
