CHENNAI: Tons by Ankur Julka (140) and G Hanuma Vihari (193) enabled CromBest to take a lead of 136 runs over TSC in their drawn TNCA Senior Division Plate Group league match at the SSN College grounds here on Friday.
Julka and Vihari added 314 runs in 72 overs for the fourth wicket. The duo combined well and took the score from 18 for 3 in 27 overs to a position of safety, which helped CromBest to take a vital lead and retain their place in the First Division for the coming season.
At the end of the fifth round, UFCC (T Nagar) and Grand Slam CC have qualified for the Plate final. AGORC and CromBest RC have retained their positions in the First Division, while TSC and IOB will be relegated to the Second Division.
