GUNTUR: Surprising one and all, including her party leaders and activists, TDP MLC Nannapaneni Rajakumari today launched an indefinite fast at Potti Sriramulu statue, near Hindu College Centre, here in support of the unified state.

Rajakumari, who has had a busy schedule of programmes in the past 10 days with her campaign for united state in coastal and Rayalaseema regions, visited the Guntur Government Hospital where her party leaders including former minister Kodela Siva Prasada Rao and MLAs Pattipati Pulla Rao and G V Anjaneyulu were on an indefinite hunger strike.

Rajakumari expressed her solidarity with fasting leaders at hospital and later drove straight to Potti Sriramulu statue located at Hindu College Centre where earlier TDP leaders organised indefinite fast.

Soon after garlanding the statue of Potti Sriramulu, she announced that she was going on an hunger strike from then in support of united state and sat on the college premises.

Rajakumari's announcement surprised party activists as well as leaders as neither preparations nor arrangements were made for her indefinite fast at Hindu College Centre in Guntur town.
