Acid-burnt body of man found

In a gory incident Thursday, a 35-year-old man was found murdered at Purushottampuram village in Yelamanchili mandal in Visakhapatnam district.

His body, found tied to the trunk of a tree, had been badly disfigured with acid burns.

The villagers of Purushottampuram informed police about the body tied to a tree trunk on the village outskirts.

His face was completely disfigured and burnt with acid. The man wore black trousers, a blue T-shirt and had two gold rings on his right hand.

Police sent out detectives to identify the man. According to them, no missing person complaint had been lodged in the surrounding villages.
