Telangana MPs in the Congress have received enough indications that the Congress high command will take a favourable decision on the separate Telangana issue soon, Siricilla Rajaiah, MP from Warangal, has said.
Talking to reporters at the CLP office here on Thursday, he said that when Congress MPs from the Telangana region had met AICC general secretary in charge of state party affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad in New Delhi on Wednesday, they were assured that the high command would take a final decision on the issue of state’s bifurcation by the end of the current monsoon session of Parliament. Rajaiah clarified that Sonia Gandhi had not chided them for staging a protest in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. “Madam assured us that the Telangana issue would be resolved at the earliest. But MPs from Seemandhra are spreading false propaganda that she has reprimanded us,” he said.
