The CBI court on Thursday gave permission for BV Sreenivas Reddy, managing director of Obulapuram Mining Company and accused in the mining case, to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law.
Sreenivas Reddy, who is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda central prison here, sent a letter through the prison authorities to the court informing it about the demise of his mother-in-law and sought permission to attend the funeral.
As the CBI did not object to his plea, the court permitted the accused to attend the funeral at Bellary in Karnataka on August 10 and 11.
