Plea to withdraw cases on TPF men

Telangana Praja Front (TPF) leaders led by Varavara Rao demanded withdrawal of the cases foisted against TPF leaders A Bhoomaiah, Kasim and G Prasadam by Warangal police under UAPA  (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act), claiming the trio were taking up activities that will awaken Maoist organisations. They met home minister Sabita Indra Reddy at Secretariat on Monday and submitted a memorandum requesting her to withdraw the cases. Varavara Rao later told newsmen said that TFP comprised intellectuals, writers, journalists and people working for common goals and it had nothing to with any outlawed organisation.
