AP government to recruit 25,000 police constables

Andhra Pradesh DGP V Dinesh Reddy Saturday said 25000 vacant police constable posts will be filled up soon and police sub-inspectors in the state get gazetted rank.

"The state government is according highest priority topolice welfare. A 50-bed super specialty hospital for policewill be set up at Hyderabad on par with corporate facilities.

While the promotional avenues are being increased by modifyingthe existing rules, all Head Constables on completion of threeyears in service will be considered for promotion as AssistantSub Inspectors," Reddy told the police personnel afterinaugurating a modern police canteen built on the lines of thearmed services.

"The police canteen would prove to be a boon to thefamilies of policemen as all the household articles and otherprovisions, including two-wheelers, will be available for salewith a tax rebate," the top cop said.
