Leaders strain the leash against YSR

Are ministers unwilling to spare the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy any longer? The answer is yes if the mood among the two dozen ministers who called on chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is any indication.

Even as they urged the CM that individuals should not be made victims of “collective decisions”, they seem to have argued that it was time the Congress came out with the “truths” behind them.

Finance minister Anam Narayana Reddy on Thursday went all out against YSR.

“Why should we take the flak for decisions with which we had nothing to do? It’s time the CBI makes it clear whether YSR was to blame or someone else,” he told a channel.

Anam also said that if they had known the “corrupt intentions” behind the decisions, they would have questioned them then itself.
