Kiran Kumar goes philosophic on the future

At a time when speculations are rife over the change of guard in the state, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy spoke in a philosophical manner, saying, "Life is full of uncertainty. No one is assured of life.  Those who are alive today may not live tomorrow. Who knows what is in store for us?"

This was a swift reply from Kiran Reddy, when scribes wanted to know whether roads and buildings minister Dharmana Prasada Rao would attend the next session of Assembly in the capacity of a minister.

Kiran Reddy ruled out acceptance of the resignation of Dharmana much before his appearance in the court. "Is it first time for any minister in the state to appear before the Court?" he questioned. He made it clear that he would take a decision on the resignation of Dharmana only after the minister sent  his reply to the government over the charges levelled against him.

Asked about the chief minister's stance on the request of the other four "tainted" ministers who  asked a probe into the decisions of the YS Rajasekhara Reddy's cabinet, Kiran Reddy said the  four ministers had asked him to order a probe to  ascertain whether they had violated any business rules in the issuance of the 26 Gos or not.
