Minor raped by tea-stall worker

A minor girl was raped by a 24-year youth at Kasumuru village in Venkatachalam mandal in Nellore district on late on Saturday night. Police took the youth into custody and registered a case.

According to the Venkatachalam police, a family went from Kurnool town  to Kasumuru to pray at the famous dargha for the health of their 8-year-old daughter. When the girl went to a nearby tea-stall to have tea around 6.30 pm on Saturday, a worker at the tea-stall, A Penchalaiah (24), lured her inside the shop and raped her. The sudden incident shocked the girl and she told her parents what had happened.

The victim’s parents then lodged a complaint with the Venkatachalam police who took Penchalaigh into custody.
