The second additional chief metropolitan magistrate court here Thursday directed Satyanarayanapuram police to register a case against Andhra Cricket Association secretary Gokaraju Gangaraju for his comments against former ACA secretary Chamundeswarinath that he took four women cricketers to Hyderabad in Dec 2012 to meet Sachin Tendular.
Gangaraju allegedly made some objectionable remarks at a press meet at ACA office last week.
Congress leader Tummala Padma filed a private petition in the court Thursday seeking action against Gangaraju for insulting women cricketers. Circle inspector Ramakrishna said they would register a case after receiving the court copy.
