Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s recent remarks over Telangana issue landed him in trouble with a local court directing the police to register a case against the MP.
Based on a petition filed by advocates Ch Upendra and K Goverdhan, the XI metropolitan magistrate court asked the Chaitanyapuri police to book the MP under Sections 120 (criminal conspiracy) and 153 A (promoting enmity between different groups) and other relevant sections of IPC. The police were asked to submit a report by March 7.
