The judicial remand of MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi, accused of delivering hate speech during a public meeting at Nizamabad in December last, has been extended till February 12.
First additional district magistrate N Amaravathi issued orders to that affect after Akbaruddin was produced before her on Thursday. As the judicial custody of the MIM MLA in the case ended on Thursday, he was brought to Nizamabad court from Adilabad district jail.
The magistrate had also directed the police department to have the voice of Akbaruddin recorded on February 12 by forensic experts.
