Arrested MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi was examined in Adilabad jail by doctors from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on Saturday after he said he was having a severe stomach ache and a cold.
The MLA is lodged at the Adilabad district jail facing charges of making a hate speech. Akbar complained to jail superintendent K Rajeswara Rao abouty his ailment at about 11.30 am Saturday. Two specialists from RIMS - G Sanjay and Yadhav - were rushed to the jail RIMS. They examined Akbaruddin and took blood samples.
The doctors said that Akbaruddin was suffering from a stomach upset and a mild cold. There was nothing to worry, they said.
