5 irrigation projects to be completed by June end

Major irrigation minister Sudarshan Reddy said that five projects in the state will be completed by the end of June.

The minister visited Pulichintala project site and inspected the works on Wednesday. Speaking to mediapersons, he said the Pulichinthala, Nettempadu, Koyilsagar, Kalvakurthy and Bheema projects should be completed by June end. Else, the government will initiate strict action against the contractors, he warned.

Government sanctioned `360 cr for Pulichintala project, of which `315 cr has been released and the remaining would be given soon, he said.
