Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday directed the APGenco officials to commence the work of 2,400 MW capacity three super critical thermal power stations in the state and complete them within 3 years.
The total estimated cost of the three thermal power stations would be about Rs 13,200 crore and will be set up at Krishnapatnam (Nellore), Vijayawada thermal station and Kothagudem thermal station expansion.
The CM approved the setting up of new thermal station at Krishnapatnam and the remaining two were approved earlier. About 1,200 people would get employment in the three power stations.
