Information technology minister Ponnala Lakshmaiahand Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Friday escaped unhurt after the elevatorbroke down as the hydraulic system failed and it dropped down with a bang.
Reportsstated that both leaders were here to inaugurate a private hospital in the district.After inaugurating the hospital, both the leaders got into the elevator whichcame down suddenly, sources said. It is learnt that neither of them sufferedany injuries in the accident. The cause of the mishap was due to overloading.
