EdCET notification on March 4

For the first time, EdCET-2013 application and hall-ticket issuance will be done online.

While the official notification for EdCET-2013 will be released on March 4, the examination will be conducted on June 3. The application fee of Rs 150 can be credited to the EdCET-2013 convener using credit/debit cards or through Mee Seva centres. There would be no change in the syllabus and eligibility criteria for candidates appearing for the exam.

In all, about 65,000 seats in more than 600 BEd colleges will be filled through the EdCET-2013. Further, candidates seeking admission into MRBEd course being offered by BR Ambedkar University of Srikakulam also need to appear for the exam.

Andhra University vice-chancellor GSN Raju said applications will be available online on EdCET-2013 website from March 8. The last date for submission of applications is April 22 and with late fee of `500 is April 30. The hall-tickets can be downloaded from the website from May 16 and the results will be announced on or before June 21.
