Tension prevailed in Tippalapalem village of Varikuntapadu mandal on Sunday evening after rival groups of TDP and YSRC clashed over tap connections in the village. Six persons suffered injuries while a shop was set on fire by the clashing mob.
According to police, argument ensued between the two groups over repair of a motor that provides water to village. When a person belonging to one group refused to pay money for the repair, an argument ensued. The rival groups attacked each other and set a shop on fire Six persons suffered injuries and were shifted to a hospital.The situation was brought under control by the police.
