U-protest at Jantar Mantar on October 2

Taking the Samaikyandhra protest to the national capital, the Seemandhra student JAC on Thursday announced to stage a protest at Jantar Mantar on October 2 with more than 10,000 students.
Intensifying the agitation, the students and local leaders held a state-level meeting and planned their future course of action.
The meeting was attended by MLA C Adinarayana Reddy, Seemandhra JAC leaders and various Seemandhra university representatives.
Seemandhra university JAC convener Krishna Yadav, who presided over the meeting, said that the meeting held by APNGOs at Hyderabad, which became a huge success, is appreciable. “The aspiration of the Seemandhra people against bifurcation of the state and their demand to reverse the decision immediately would be taken up with the AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi on October 3,” he said.
The meeting also decided to organise a rally with more than 10,000 students from Sri Krishnadevara University to Hyderabad on October 2. Similarly, another meeting is also proposed with lakhs of students in the Seemandhra region, he added. The JAC also decided to besiege the residences of Union ministers from Seemandhra region on October 4. MLA Adinarayana Reddy said that a student party must be formed on the lines of Assam Gana Parishad to take up the movement ahead and also create a sense of fear among the elected representatives of the region.
