Telangana writers' meet from September 22

The second convention of the All India Telangana Writers Forum (AITWF) will be held in Karimnagar from September 22, forum president Nalimela Bhasker said in a press release here on Wednesday.

The second convention of the All India Telangana Writers Forum (AITWF) will be held in Karimnagar from September 22, forum president Nalimela Bhasker said in a press release here on Wednesday. The forum encourages writers who focus on the culture, issues and the injustices of the Telangana region through their writings and poems.

The forum was constituted around 12 years ago with an intention to elevate several issues and for the welfare of the people of Telangana through a magazine, ‘Soyi’, Bhasker said. The forum is now planning to introduce the Telangana accent in movies, academic books and newspapers.

The organising committee president, Nagunuri Shekar said that the AITWF’s first convention was held in Hyderabad in 2012 and now the venue for the second convention is Karimnagar and added that writers of Telangana who are settled in various places will attend the convention. The AITWF will play a key role in reconstructing Telangana, he said.
