TRS chief K Chandrashekara Rao said nothing short of Telangana State with Hyderabad as its capital is not acceptable to the people of Telangana.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the office of Telangana Gazetted Officers (TGO) in Gruhakalpa Complex at Nampally here on Thursday, the TRS chief said that process for creation of Telangana state will reach to its logical conclusion. “No one can stop it and who think they can are fools,” he said.

He called upon people of Telangana not to lose heart in the wake of Andhra leaders comments that the process has slowed down. ‘’There is no need to fear. What they are saying are all lies. Whatever figures they are giving are not facts. Revenues of Hyderabad are significant, but not as being projected. It was in Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda, Medak districts bordering with Hyderabad that industries were setup and people in those districts bore the burnt of pollution. But, revenues from those industries are being shown as revenues of Hyderabad. Are they not the revenues of Telangana districts,’’ he said.

Reiterating that Telangana state will be a reality soon, he said that people of Telangana are not ready to compromise on Telangana with Hyderabad as its capital and they will not agree for any conditions regarding Hyderabad.

TRS chief called upon Telanganites to be vigilant and not give up struggle, now that Telangana state has been announced and process commenced. ‘’Keep up the pressure, till Telangana state becomes a reality,’’ he said.

Expressing his ire over Andhra leaders and employee leaders from that region for inflamming passions among people, by citing false data, he said that he was ready to explain to them the facts. He said it is not culture of Telangana to aspire for the wealth of others. ‘’We have always welcomed guests to our tables to share our food,’’ he said adding Telangana people’s kindness is being treated as weakness.

He said people change from place to place for better opportunities and said people of Andhra had come to an already developed place. ‘’It is time for us to behave in a responsible manner. Let us part as brothers. Let us sit down and discuss. But understand that under no circumstances there will be any compromise on Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital,’’ he said.

TRS chief during his entire speech was highly critical of TDP and YSRC leadership for their changed stance. The programme was attended by TGO president Srinivas Goud. TJAC chairman M Kodandaram, BJP leader Vidyasagar Rao, TRS leaders K Kesava Rao and others.
