All set for ‘Sakala Janula Bheri’, the clarion call for the people to get ready to achieve Telangana state at all costs and strive for its reconstruction once it is formed.

‘’Telangana state formation is absolute and the meeting intends to reaffirm this stance and reassure the people of Telangana that under no circumstances will there be any compromise on it,’’ Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram has said.

Speaking to Express here on Saturday on the eve of the ‘Sakala Janula Bheri’, he said people of Telangana are not ready to remain silent if the Congress goes back on its promise as it had done in 1969 and on December 9, 2009. ‘’We urge the Centre to expedite the process of Telangana state formation. Any impediment on the path or deviation from the announcement will not be agreed,’’ he said.

Taking exception to the stand and statements of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, TJAC chief said the very purpose of the meeting, is to assure people of Telangana that every one is committed to have the state formed and at the same time explain to them various factors that led the present crisis. ‘’It is also a platform for which we want to show how Telangana state should be and will be,’’ he explained.

Kodandaram felt that the meeting is also to put an end to the conspiracies of chief minister and the likes of him, who were against the formation of Telangana. ‘’It is for clearing any doubts in the minds of people regarding Telangana,’’ he said expressing confidence that Telangana state will go to polls in 2014. He opined that any delay in implementing the CWC decision will provide opportunity for the detractors of Telangana to conspire and influence the decision-makers.

Already people from different parts of Telangana have started arriving in Hyderabad. In Khammam district alone, 150 buses have been booked, apart from various other modes of transport. As it is Sunday, more number of people from Hyderabad and its suburbs are expected to attend the meeting. TJAC leaders have gone to every basti inviting people to attend the meeting, he said adding that the TRS has promised to mobilise 1 lakh people.

There will be six large TV screens outside the venue to show live the happenings in the grounds. TJAC had constituted a team of 500 volunteers for crowd management. Around 1,500 police personnel are expected to be deployed at the venue, he said.

The venue has been named ‘Kaloji Pranganam’ and the podium as ‘Jayashankar Vedika’ and the two entrances to the venue will be named as Konda Lakshman Bapuji Dwaram and Sada Lakshmi Dwaram, Kodandaram said.
