ANU V-C Unveils Tourism Chronicles

GUNTUR: Acharya Nagarjuna University vice-chancellor Prof  KV Rao  inaugurated the chronicles of three important districts Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam that incorporated the significant places of tourism for the interest of public at a meeting of principals of the affiliated colleges of Guntur on the campus Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that this was the first of its kind initiative taken up by a university and added that the ANU had been taking several steps to integrate the university with society.

“The university has been encouraging faculty to identify and implement projects that can improve understanding of the issues and environment. The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management was directed to compile chronicles of these three districts.” he added.

The vice-chancellor appreciated Dr P Purnachandra Rao, coordinator, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management and senior professor MV Ram Kumar Ratnama.
