VISAKHAPATNAM: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) chairman-cum-managing director P Madhusudan congratulated the collective of Vizag Steel Plant on bagging the prestigious ‘Performance Excellence Award’ for 2012-13 in recognition of the overall excellence in the functioning of the plant.
RINL director (Personnel) GBS Prasad received the award from Padma Bhushan Dr Sivathanu Pillai at the three-day 18th CEOs conference of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineers (IIIE) at Lonavala from Friday. The prestigious award was presented in recognition of the overall excellence of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant during 2012-13 under the PSU category.
The IIIE presents the Excellence Award every year to the best performing organisations in public and private sectors during CEOs conference. This year the theme of the conference is ‘Organisational Effectiveness for Growth and Prosperity’.
The coveted award added another feather in the cap of RINL’s glory. On the occasion, GBS Prasad spoke on the role of HRM in achieving ‘organisational effectiveness’, which was well received by the delegates.
