AU Dept Offering Yoga Therapy, Certificate Courses

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Department of Yoga and Consciousness of Andhra University is offering a one-month special yoga therapy course and a three-month certificate course at the Yoga Village on the Beach Road commencing July 10.

The organisers said that the one-month yoga therapy course includes naturopathy treatments to reduce aches, body pains and also for weight reduction. Trained professionals are going to offer their services in the yoga camp. Interested men and women of all ages can join the course at the timings of their convenience, between 6 am and 11 am, and also 4 pm and 7 pm.

Meanwhile, the three-month certificate course for women would be a foundation course in yoga imparting knowledge on the basis of theory and practice of yoga to the participants. The course timing is from 9 am to 10 am. After completion of the course, the candidates will be able to practice basic Shuddi Kriyas, Asanas, Pranayama techniques and Bandhas. The fundamentals of meditation also will be included in the course.
