GUNTUR: Endowments minister P Manikyala Rao here Sunday announced that his ministry would set up English medium schools in all the districts of the state.

He told newsmen that they were going to establish the English medium schools on the lines of Vedic schools in every district.

The minister said that the revenue and expenditure of the famous temples would be made available online in order to bring transparency in the system and added that a committee headed by a former judge would be set up to look into the temple land grabbing cases.

He said the free meal (Annadanam scheme) programme would be implemented in all the major temples like Srisailam, Srikalahasti, Simhachalam, Kanipakam and Dwaraka Thirumala.

The minister has again asked the persons occupying the nominated posts to quit. “As they were appointed by the erstwhile government, they have to resign from their posts. If they do not follow, they will be removed,” the minister added.
