RAJAHMUNDRY: Rajahmundry Urban MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana laid the foundation stone to an electrical sub-station at agriculture market committee here Tuesday.
Later, the MLA said as part of the next year’s Godavari Pushkarams five new electrical sub-stations would come up here to combat power supply problems.
Other sub-stations will come up at Godavari Bund, Gowthami Ghat, Kambala Tank and SVG Market.
The sub-stations will be completed as per schedule, he added.
Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai said Lalitha Nagar, Veerabhadrapuram, Municipal Colony and Haripuram will benefit from the new sub-station.
Transco superintending engineer N Gangadhar and deputy mayor Vasireddy Rambabu and others were present.
