ELURU: Katamaneni Bhaskar took charge as West Godavari collector here Saturday, succeeding Siddharth Jain.
He is the 65th collector of the district. He belongs to the 2004 batch of IAS officers.
He first worked as an assistant collector in Bhadrachalam and later sub-collector.
Bhaskar worked as joint collector in Srikakulam district in 2008. He was also additional project director and zonal commissioner in Greater Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad. District revenue officer KP Rao, zilla parishad chief executive officer DV Reddy and other officials welcomed the new collector.
