Minister Miffed at Food Preparation in SW School

ELURU: Women and child welfare minister Peethala Sujatha expressed unhappiness over the functioning of officials of Social Welfare Residential Girls School at Vatlur. She threatened the staff of stern action if things were not streamlined in a week. The minister, who made a surprise visit to the school, directly went to the kitchen and checked on the food and other dishes under preparation.

Miffed over the way food is being cooked and sanitary conditions, she asked the officials whether they were taking the food like this at their homes? The government is spending crores of rupees on the hostels and cannot be a mere spectator if the school staff work in their own style, the minister expressed her anguish.

Later, she interacted with the students and assured them to address their problems without delay.
