4,500 Acres for Industries in Prakasam

Collector GSRKR Vijay Kumar has said that 4,500 acres of government land has been identified in Prakasam district for setting up of industries.

ONGOLE: Collector GSRKR Vijay Kumar has said that 4,500 acres of government land has been identified in Prakasam district for setting up of industries.

Speaking at a meeting with industrialists to discuss the new industrial policy 2014-19 draft plan at the CPO office here Tuesday, he said that land for industrial development was available in Kanigiri and Chandrasekharapuram (CS Puram) in the district.

“Prakasam has a 90-km-long coastline suitable for establishment of industries,” he said and added that new industries can avail concessions under the special status granted to the state.

Santhanuthalapadu MLA A Suresh, assistant collector Mohan, general manager of industries department Murali Mohan, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation district manager Subba Rao and other industrialists were present at the meeting.
