Jagan Threatens to Drag Chennai Builder to Court

YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded that the state government send

VIZIANAGARAM: YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded that the state government send a team of ministers and officials to Chennai to ensure proper compensation be paid to the bereaved families of the building collapse incident from the construction company. If the builder is not coming forward to pay proper compensation, the state government must file a case against the company.

Jagan visited the family members of the victims at K Krishnapuram village of Dattirajeru mandal and Badangi village Tuesday.

Sharing the grief with the family members, the YSRC chief said that he would send a team comprising YSRC MLAs and MPs to Chennai to discuss the compensation issue with the company. He also said that his party would drag the builder to the court if the latter refuses to pay adequate compensation.

During his interaction, he enquired the reasons for migrations in large number from the district and post accident help.

Later, speaking to media, Jagan criticised the government and said that even after 17 days have passed since the incident occurred, the compensation has not reached the families. He demanded that the government take immediate steps to extend help to the family members of the deceased.

Bobbili MLA Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao, YSRC leaders P Sambasiva Raju and K Veerabhadra Swami accompanied the YSRC chief.
