VIJAYAWADA: City Mahila Samaakhya chief secretary Panchadarla Durgamba demanded waiver of the DWACRA loans, a poll promise made by the TDP.
A signature campaign was held by the 56th division Mahila Samaakya here at the Vambay Colony demanding waiving off the DWACRA loans.
Speaking at the campaign, Durgamba said that the government was buying time by appointing committees on the loan waiver and as a result the DWACRA members are being pressurized by bankers to pay the loans.” Chandrababu Naidu must respond immediately and should take measures towards waiving DWACRA and farm loans.” she added.
Division secretary Mainampati Subbalakshmi, CPI leader Ramaraju and women activists were present at the campaign.
