GUNTUR: Agriculture minister Prathipati Pulla Rao said that students should inculcate competitive spirit and utilise the scholarships offered by the Vasavi Club.
He gave away scholarships worth `9 lakh to the students at a programme organised by Vasavi Club at Sri Venkateswara Vignan Mandir here Sunday. About 300 students who scored good marks in SSC examinations were awarded `3,000 each.
Transport and R&B minister Sidda Raghava Rao said that after bifurcation many universities were coming to Andhra Pradesh, and that students should excel in their studies.
Jaggayyapeta and Guntur West MLAs Sriram Rajagopal and Modugula Venugopal Reddy respectively and others participate.
