VIJAYAWADA: City mayor Koneru Sridhar expressed displeasure over the officials for neglecting the maintenance of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) vehicle depot here, Tuesday.
Sridhar visited the vehicle depot in the 42nd division as part of the city inspection and found that only nine dumper placer bins, out of 30, were in condition. He disapproved of the officials’ negligence for not undertaking repair work for the supersucker vehicle, which was lying useless in the depot for over a year, and ordered them to immediately carry out the repair works.
He asked the officials to train the staff to use the machines available, and instructed the sanitary inspector to improve sanitation in the area.
Corporator of the 42nd division, Muppa Venkateswara Rao, staff from sanitation and engineering departments and vehicle depot staff were present during the inspection.
