VIJAYAWADA: There is a need for a state-level chamber of commerce and industry in Andhra Pradesh post bifurcation to coordinate the activities relating to all the 13 districts, said Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) secretary Ch RK Prasad.

Speaking at a state level meeting held at ACCI in Vijayawada Monday, RK Prasad said that as Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) is focusing more on Telangana and is planning to just set up a regional office in AP, ACCI has come forward to set up a state level chamber in AP to address the issues of industry and business here.

ACCI former secretary Nitin K Parekh pointed out that commerce chambers and businessmen have to get habituated to new age technology and use the modern technological advances to stay ahead in competitions.

About 60 representatives from all the 13 districts participated in the meeting.
