Met Department Predicts More Rain for AP, Telangana

Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vizag, EG, WG, Krishna and Guntur, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal and RR districts to get heavy rainfall

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has predicted more rains for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The south west monsoon has become vigorous following the formation of a low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal and the presence of a system of upper air circulation that extends from Odisha to Tamil Nadu.

The low pressure area lies over north west Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of west central Bay of Bengal off the Odisha coast. 

Rain occurred at most places in Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh on Monday. Isolated rain was witnessed in Rayalaseema.

Moderate to heavy rain or thundershowers will occur at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Light to moderate showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places over Rayalaseema.

Heavy rain will occur at one or two places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal and Rangareddy in Telangana.

In the capital city, the sky will be generally cloudy. Rain or thundershowers will occur in parts of city. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 28 and 23 degree Celsius respectively.
