Food Poisoning at Girls School/Hostel in East Godavari

Andhra Pradesh home minister N Chinarajappa today visited Sivakodu Social Welfare Hostel and School in Rajole mandal of East Godavari district where 35 girls fell sick after eating contaminated food yesterday.

RAJAHMUNDRY: Andhra Pradesh home minister N Chinarajappa today visited Sivakodu Social Welfare Hostel and School in Rajole mandal of East Godavari district where 35 girls fell sick after eating contaminated food yesterday.

The hostel provides accommodation to 460 girls from scheduled castes.

Girls reported sickness after eating laddoos distributed on the occasion of Ramzan, and 35 of them were taken to the primary health centre in Rajole.

All of them were now out of danger, an official release here said.
