Major Boost for AP Hospitals

Health minister Kamineni Srinivas has said that the government is taking steps for the improvement of basic amenities at the government hospitals in the state.

ONGOLE: Health minister Kamineni Srinivas has said that the government is taking steps for the improvement of basic amenities at the government hospitals in the state.

Gynaecologists and anesthesiologists will be soon appointed for various government hospitals, he disclosed and directed the officials to take immediate measures to improve the facilities at RIMS in the town. Addressing a review meeting with the officials of the Health Department here Wednesday, the minister said that equal priority would to given all districts and efforts were being made to set up a cancer hospital in Nellore.

He also said that the RIMS was understaffed and expressed disappointment over the sanitary conditions at the hospital. He asked the doctors to be present at the primary health care centres from 9 am to 4 pm.
