Naidu Blames Cong, BJP for Seemandhra Woes

After a long gap, the Telugu Desam Party is in high spirits as Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s 10th Praja Garjana received a huge response from the people here on Wednesday. Leaving aside the differences, all the TDP leaders worked collectively for the success of the meeting and mobilised huge crowds from all the mandals in the district.

Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu Naidu stressed the need to bring the party to power and win all the 25 MP seats to develop Seemandhra. He called upon party youth and women’s wings to go to villages to garner support for TDP and help it sweep the polls. Naidu accused Congress and BJP of dividing the state without considering the interests and issues related to Seemandhra.

“I have no ambition other than protecting Telugu unity and developing Seemandhra. I have dedicating my life to convert Andhra Pradesh into Swarnanadhra Pradesh,” Naidu said.

Naidu confessed that he has given a letter to the UPA government on the Telangana issue to ensure justice to both regions. “I told all the political parties and the UPA government that if they wish to give Telangana state, then they should address Seemandhra problems. And, if they wish to keep the state united, they should get the nod of Telangana people. There should be equal justice to both regions. However, to weaken the TDP and gain majority of the seats in Telangana through TRS and in Seemandhra through YSR Congress, the UPA government has divided the state cruelly,” Naidu explained to the people.

He called upon party activists to work like soldiers to bring the party to power. During his one-hour speech, Naidu mentioned various leaders and eminent people of Srikakulam and tried to get the attention of the people. He said he would work like a labourer to develop the Seemandhra state.

Earlier, a massive rally was taken out in the town in which over 1,000 vehicles and thousands of people participated. At all the junctions enroute to the venue (80ft road), a large number of women welcomed Chandrababu Naidu.

Party Lok Sabha contestant Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu and other leaders were present.
