Beach Cleaning Prog on Sept 27

VISAKHAPATNAM: The local body of NGO Ken Foundation Society is going to conduct a beach cleaning programme ‘Vizag coastal cleanup drive 2014’ on September 27 between 8 am and 12 pm.

The poster of this campaign has been released by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandra Babu Naidu in Hyderabad here Wednesday along with the chairman and members of the campaign.

Expecting a participation of around 40,000 volunteers, the campaign aims to educate the beach users to keep it clean and tidy, said the organisers. Elected representatives of Visakhapatnam and other important officials will be involved in the the beach clean-up drive. The organisers also request the Vizagites to participate in the event with social responsibility.
