Another Chargesheet Against Jagan Reddy

HYDERABAD: The CBI on Tuesday filed yet another chargesheet against YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy besides 13 others, including Ongole MP YV Subba Reddy, as part of its ongoing probe into the Kadapa strongman’s alleged disproportionate assets.

The chargesheet — 11th one to be filed by the CBI against Jagan — pertains to alleged quid pro quo deals in land allotment made to the Indu Projects in the city during the YS Rajasekhara Reddy regime.

Jagan has been named Accused No 1 followed by his auditor Vijay Sai Reddy, senior IAS officer SN Mohanty, promoter of Indu projects I Shyam Prasad Reddy, Indu Projects, Ongole MP YV Subba Reddy, Krishna Prasad, Chidco Private Limited, Vasantha Projects, Indu Eastern Province, Jitendra Virwani, Embassy Realtors, Indu Royal Homes and Carmel Asia Holdings.

All the accused have been charged under Sections 120B, 409, 420, 468, 471, 477 and 477A of the IPC and 9, 11, 12, 13(2), R/W, 13(1), C&D of the PC Act. In its chargesheet, the CBI claimed the then CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy had offered lands to promoter of Indu projects Shyam Prasad Reddy at a throwaway price in return for `70 crore investment in companies owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy — which it said resulted in loss of government revenue.

The first chargesheet was filed against Jagan and 12 others on March 31, 2012.
