NTPC's Painting Contest for AP, TS Schoolkids

VISAKHAPATNAM: The NTPC is organising a painting competition for schoolchildren in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, as part of the nationwide energy conservation campaign launched by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Union Ministry of Power.

Each school in both the states should conduct painting contest for their students in two categories: class IV to VI in group-I and VII to IX in group-II. Two best paintings from each school should be sent to the NTPC by Oct 4. The topics for the contest are ‘Save Energy, Secure Your Future’, ‘Conserve Energy for Brighter Future’ and ‘Bijili Bachao, Prakash Badavo’ (group-I); ‘Global Warming is Global Warning’ and ‘Urja Bachat Ki Sanskritika Kare Vikas Ujwal Hoga Bhavishy Aur Ghar Ghar Prakash’ (group-II).

The students can use any paper (preferably A4 size), colour pencils, crayons and water colours. Fifty best paintings from each group will be selected from among all the schools in both the states for the final state-level painting competition to be conducted on Nov 15 in Secunderabad. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 20,000, first runner-up Rs 15,000 and second runner-up will be given Rs 10,000.
